About Carly
I have been passionate about movement my whole life. Growing up as a competitive Irish Dancer with a focus on other athletics, I was exposed to many ways of moving. I got curious about the healing side of things and became a Physiotherapy Assistant in 2006 and have worked in the public and private physiotherapy setting since. After a year abroad in physiotherapy school I started a Hatha Yoga Teacher Training as a way to integrate Yoga as a modality in the rehabilitation environment. In 2020, at 9 months postpartum, I started my first Comprehensive Teacher Training with Beyond Pilates with Noam Gagnon.
What I’ve learned from my personal practice:
I have learned that personal practice, whatever the modality, is about cultivating strength through many avenues. Yes, it feels good to get physically stronger but I have also discovered the strength of dedication, the strength of moving from the center and the strength that exists outside of the clinic or the studio. Living day to day with more confidence and the ability to adapt to my environment. Not only moving from the center, but living from it.
